EU-compliant withdrawal module for PrestaShop, withdrawal button solution

With the Module EU compliant revocation button integrate a legally compliant, fully digital withdrawal process into your PrestaShop store. Customers can exercise their right of withdrawal in accordance with Art. 11a of the Directive 2011/83/EU as defined by Directive (EU) 2023/2673 in Germany, this is implemented by Section 356a of the German Civil Code (BGB) and can be exercised conveniently online, while the system takes the necessary steps automatically: Validation of data, status changes, e-mail confirmations and documented processes.

Overview of how the PrestaShop revocation button works

Access: Customer clicks on the cancel button/link in the footer or in the customer account.
Form: Enter order ID / order number and full name, e-mail (SSL-secured).
Examination: Comparison with the order. Checking the deadlines in two variants:
Request is always sent, therefore manual check of all revocation requests (recommended)
Check within the withdrawal period (order date or Date "Dispatch" status + withdrawal period + delivery buffer). Deadline check only as an internal plausibility check or marking. In the case of goods, the verifiable receipt of the goods is always decisive, not the order date or shipping status. If there is no certain delivery date, the withdrawal request may not be blocked due to a calculated deadline. The withdrawal request is always transmitted. The online retailer then checks whether the withdrawal is legally effective and has been submitted within the deadline.
Complete order or partial revocationThe customer can decide whether he wants to cancel the entire order or whether he wants to cancel parts (individual products, services). The fields article name, article no. and quantity are available for this purpose. A reason for the withdrawal does not have to be given in any case.
Status & Emails:Automatic status change to"Revocation requested"; confirmation to the customer, notification to defined admin addresses.
Tracking: Orders with revocation can be filtered and processed in the back office via the status. A manual decision is made here as to whether a revocation request is approved or rejected.

Deadlines: Manual check of all withdrawal requests by the online retailer (recommended) or configurable withdrawal period (1-365 days) + customizable delivery buffer. The withdrawal request is always transmitted. The online retailer then checks whether the withdrawal is legally effective and within the deadline.
Dual notification system: E-mail to customers (confirmation) and administrators (alarm), multiple recipients possible.
Secure validation: Comparison of order ID or order number and full name or order ID & order number with full name prevents unauthorized requests.
Flexible placement: Footer button/link, customer account block (PS 1.7) and customer account cards (PS 8/9) - individually or combined.
Individual branding: Button color per hex code, customizable call-to-action texts per language.
CMS connection: Links to data protection and revocation pages for each language, optional legal information (pre-formulated). The CMS pages are pre-populated with non-binding sample texts. These serve exclusively as a template and do not constitute legal advice.
